Tokoroa Cinema 3 is currently operated by the South Waikato District Council.  Support your local cinema!  Our summer opening has been extended and the cinema continues to operate.  It has recently been sold to private opertors who will continue to use the facility as a cinema, which is great for Tokoroa and surrounding towns.

The Cinema was originally opened in early 1960 as the Memorial Hall. It was built with funds raised by Public subsciption by the Tokoroa Hall Committe. There was a 50/50 arrangement whereby Government paid half the money. It was used as a Hall and a second cinema to the Star Theatre for many years. It is now our only cinema. The are three cinemas in the complex.
